We are delighted to announce that Horizon’s Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium has been named, for an unprecedented second time, the Best Crematorium in Scotland at the prestigious Scottish Funeral Awards.
The Awards were created to establish an independent platform in recognition of the diverse range of people and organisations working within the funeralcare sector across the country.
The prestigious Best Crematorium in Scotland category recognises the delivery of the highest levels of service and care for families by going the extra mile, through to positively working with the local community, supporting local charities, and working to protect the environment and enhance biodiversity.
In a second achievement on the night, the Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium was also Highly Commended within the Best Eco Funeral Award category.
Commenting on being named the Best Crematorium in Scotland for a second time, Jennifer Hamilton, Manager of the Clyde Coast Crematorium said:
“We are so incredibly proud of the services we provide here at the Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium, and for the work we do in our community, including supporting our local Hospices and smaller local charity partners.
“We have the most incredible building, in a very special location, providing a genuinely unique sense of space, comfort and tranquillity, and coupled with our very special and dedicated team, who work tirelessly every day, going the extra mile, to ensure we provide the very highest levels of care for our families.
“We have also been able to give back almost £100,000 to our local hospice and charity partners over recent years through our match-funded charity collections, and our membership of the innovative ICCM metal recycling scheme.
“Our sincere thanks go to all of the families who have entrusted us to provide them with such sensitive care, and to our truly exceptional network of local funeral director colleagues for their unwavering and continued support, and to the many people and stakeholders who have helped us achieve this very special accolade for an unprecedented second time.”
