We are delighted to confirm that Jennifer Hamilton, Manager of our multi-award-winning Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium has been appointed as a Director to the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM) Board.
Founded in 1913, the ICCM is the leading professional organisation within our profession, providing policy and best practice guidance to burial and cremation authorities across the UK, through the provision of accredited education and training programmes, alongside driving research, policy, and representation at Government level. The fundamental and governing aim of the ICCM is to raise standards for bereaved people.
Commenting on her appointment, Jennifer said:
“I am honoured to be invited to sit on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management.
“The Institute has been instrumental in establishing and driving forward standards in our important and sensitive profession for over 110-years and has been at the forefront of developing respected programmes such as the Recycling of Metals Scheme, which has raised £19.1m in support of bereavement charities since the scheme began in 2006.
“I am incredibly humbled with the opportunity that the Institute has presented to me, and I am excited and very much looking forward to starting work with the board in the New Year.”
