We are pleased to announce that East Renfrewshire Council have approved Horizon’s planning application for a new, environmentally advanced crematorium located close to the Hurlet junction on the western side of the local authority area.
The new state of the art crematorium, located on Glasgow Road, approximately 600 meters South of the Hurlet Junction, will significantly help families and communities at times of need, given there is no crematorium facility within the local authority area.
Currently, local families have no choice but to travel to Castlemilk in Glasgow, or Paisley Town Centre in Renfrewshire to access essential crematorium facilities, often resulting in long waiting times and rushed services, particularly during winter months.
Jeremy Hamilton, Director at Horizon, said “We are absolutely delighted with our detailed Planning Approval from East Renfrewshire Council for a new state of the art, high-quality crematorium facility located at the Hurlet.
“There is an immediate and fast-growing need for a dedicated crematorium facility within the local authority area, and this new modern and high-quality facility will significantly help local families and communities at times of need.
“We are very thankful for the significant and important support we have received during the planning process, and we now look forward to taking the project forward.”
